Adding a rug to any room adds instant coziness, glamor, and sophistication. In ancient times, rugs were a status symbol of those who were wealthy enough to afford them. Even today, the price of a well-made rug is often out of an everyday person’s budget. Let’s not even get started on what a Persian rug would run. But for the Dalyn Rug Company, that high cost presented a challenge. Can we create beautifully designed custom rugs at an affordable price? Sure, said founders Bill and Judy Adams in 1979, and the Dalyn Rug Company was born.
Quality – Not Just About The Rugs
The integrity of Dalyn Rug Stores and its employees runs through every strand of every rug. For them, it’s not just about creating high-quality rugs for each customer, it’s about treating every customer, supplier, and partner with respect, giving them the best of their expertise. They offer custom rugs in four different ways: machine-woven, hand-tufted, printed, and custom-made, each with care and skill to outshine their competition and earn their title as the best and biggest custom rug company in the world.
Make Your Own Custom Statement
To build a Dalyn custom area rug, customers can choose from a multitude of colors and patterns, mixing and matching to their stylish heart’s content. With over 450 colors and in 150 designs, the possibilities are endless – really, can anybody calculate all the possible combinations? Once the choices are finalized, the rug is ready to bring a room together in all of three weeks. A one-of-a-kind rug is ready in less than a month!
Dalyn’s collections are as varied as their custom options. The rugs in each collection share the same style of construction. The Antigua collection, for example, is all 100% Polyester, machine-made rugs. They also share a distressed, contemporary style, understated but classic.
For a natural-fiber rug, try the Banyan collection, all made of 100% jute fibers woven into a flatweave rug. This creates a natural look suitable for indoor/outdoor spaces. And of course, we couldn’t talk about rugs without bringing up the coup de grace, 100% wool rugs. The Calisa, Jewel, Monaco Sisal, Nepal, Rafia, Reya, Targon, and Torino are not only all wool but also hand-tufted or hand-loomed.
For areas that need a rug with a bit easier care, there are high-quality man-made fiber rugs available as well, in handmade and machine-made construction. Combinations of natural wool and viscose are also offered for an even more luxurious rug.
The collections all have distinct styles in addition to their shared features. Solid or ombre collections showcase the simple beauty of the fibers, as seen in the Impact collection, where the soft gleam of the rug is the star. In Illusions, the shag creates a depth of shades that might be lost with a pattern. Torino is all about the ombre effect, in colors from neutral Sand to bold Teal.
Patterns in the collections range from antique style Turkish patterns to geometric designs. The Seaside collection is one such collection, offering – you guessed it – motifs that evoke the sea. If abstract, Jackson Pollock styles are your style, try the Rossi collection with its rich rainbow of colors.
Some of the collections offered by Dalyn even feature metallic fibers woven into the design. The Tempo and Grand Tour collections offer a touch of sparkle to area rugs, the Tempo collection in a modern style, and the Grand Tour in a casual style that plays well with many different styles of décor.
Styles For Your Lifestyle
If you didn’t have enough choices already, the number of styles Dalyn offers is hugely varied.
For traditionalists, Oriental and Persian styles add an air of mysterious history to a room.
Dalyn didn’t leave the kids out of their designs, either. Whimsical, abstract, bright, and imaginative, there’s a rug for every interest and discerning child’s taste. There are holiday rugs for Christmas, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. There are patterns of flowers, butterflies, airplanes, and toys, old stripes, and simply braided rugs brighten up a bedroom.
Nature has always been a major source of inspiration in art and design, and Dalyn area rugs are not the exception. Floral patterns aren’t just for the traditionalists, either. Contemporary rugs sport strong lines, shapes, and colors, or a more subdued abstract pattern with muted colors could be the answer to a decorating problem. And while “flowers” can mean cottage gardens spread across the floor or a tropical paradise to lie on, flower motifs like the French fleur-de-lis, vines, and leaves also bring the outdoors in.
A Touch of Culture
Every so often, a style will become so quintessential to a country, area, or period of time that anything following in that style is named after it. Say “Persian Rug” to different people, and they’ll most likely start describing more or less the same image of a rich pattern of entwining vines and medallions surrounded by a contrasting border.
Southwestern heavily incorporates triangles and chevrons and uses colors that evoke desert sunsets and baked earth. This is unmistakably the American Southwest, and although there is an endless number of places that “southwest” could refer to, Southwest design needs no other explanation.
Even vintage poster art finds a home on Dalyn rugs. The bright colors of a pop art rooster would brighten up a kitchen or dining area. And that hallmark of retro – the polka dot – is featured in many designs for a kitschy look.
Or rectangle, or round, or octagonal. Rugs aren’t limited to four parallel sides anymore. Finding a size and shape that fits your space is easy with the number of options offered by Dalyn rugs. Ranging in size from 2’x3’ to 12’x18’ no space is too small or too big for one (or maybe two or three) area rugs. Those oddly long and narrow hallways are the perfect place for a rug runner.
Whatever your style, needs, desires, or specifications are, there’s a rug for you at Dalyn rugs, and at a price, even the most frugal will appreciate.
