Now part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's renowned Robert Lehman Collection, the original is an impressive court piece of nearly 23 feet in length. Its richly foliate design reaches through the centuries with the power of nature's life-force. Order is attained through a symmetrical pattern radiating out from a line of central palmettes and enclosed within a broad tripartite border. In Nourison's interpretation, the fertile floral display is resplendent in sparkling gold, jade and sapphire details woven upon a regal crimson ground. Care Instructions
To clean your rug of spills, firmly press a clean cloth onto the area to absorb as much liquid as possible. Avoid rubbing or stroking as this can set the stain deeper into the rug. For general maintenance of your rug, carefully vacuum on a low power setting. Professional cleaning is the preferred and recommended method for stains. Using a rug pad is also recommended to extend the life of your rug.
